good on you for actually calling to investigate. it is suspicious. I think it very well could be because of their political orientation and as a way to send a warning to other guardsmen who share their sentiments... with the hope that enough of them will put 2 and 2 together and self-select out.
the rot in this country has overtaken every single institution. even the military increasingly.
