Newbie here just slowly moving into alt tech alternatives wondering the same, I'm sure it's not perfect but what makes it "suck" as much of the more obvious ones like google, bing, etc?.
I don't know much about most of these, Bing is good for looking up porn just type in whatever you want and click videos and most of the time you can watch them right there without going to the actual site; I have DDG as my default search engine and for certain things I have to go to Google to get the results I'm looking for eg maps, a local business that shows its hours without having to click a link etc. I don't know about the rest.
Lmao I've totally used bing to search porn as well. Despite DDG claiming not to track you and all that, I've heard people voice their suspicions about it, so I'm not sure what to think there. in recent months I've used Brave a fair bit but it is slow. At the end of the day my feeling is it probably doesn't matter much what browser or search engine people use, it can all be tracked anyway. Your ISP can be forced to hand over records for instance.
What's wrong with DDG?
