I've seen this quite a bit over the last two days. I would guess hosting servers are struggling to keep up with new traffic.

Which, raises an interesting question. With no revenue to speak of, who is paying for the hosting here? Upgrading hosting plans to accommodate additional web traffic is not cheap.

Cloudflare is supposed to protect against outages. Why does it provide a failure page rather than a cached version of the site?
