Flat earth theories are a great way to discredit inconvenient info. Evidence claiming we can't leave earth or info claiming NASA is lying to us is lumped in with some crackpot flat earth theory. Then when you try to discuss such evidence you are labeled a flat earther and the shills come out to piss all over you. It's truly a genius disinfo campaign.

I agree. Even most of the replies here have to start with "I don't believe flat earth, but..." How horsewhipped are we by shills that we have to open our posts with statements condemning flat earth (or any theory for that matter) just to avoid the landslide of attacks.

Ya... It is mass conditioning. I doubt there's any flat earthers here in real numbers.

Even as someone who didn't think the moon landing was real, i didn't know a lot of the deceptions of nasa until researching flat earth. Like how that guy that was supposed to go to the moon was against sending people up there and claimed the spaceship was a lemon. Then, he suddenly dies in a fucking test run that wasn't even going off the ground but somehow blew up lol.

That's the trick, lump good evidence under a crazy banner to discredit the good evidence.

I don't believe that the earth is flat, but flight times wouldn't debunk it for me if I did. There is a question of a route taken and obviously of speed

This guy is onto a way to prove the theory but, I don't think it is well represented

An average direct flight from New Zealand to Chile takes 41h 01m, covering a distance of 9040 km. The most popular route is Auckland - Santiago with an average flight time of 37h 37m.

Flat earth was created to discredit actual conspiracy theories.

They just slow down to trick you. Like you could do in a car. Just ho 50 instead of 60 bro and people will think the mileage was different.

Breh, think of all the every day pilots that would have to be in on this. Also, and the biggest point, nobody ever wants to be in a car or plane longer than they have to for long distances. ....no, the world is not flat...

they aint gonna fly a straight line over ocean for 12 or 13 hours in case they need to emergency land at some point so the straight lines on this map are also bs...they would do zig zags because its safer in case they need to land

If you want to debunk it using flight, look up some emergency landings. There are some that just dont make sense. Like China to LA emergency landing in Alaska? Makes no sense. But when you look at that map, a plane from HongKong would fly right over Alaska to get to LA. I dont believe, nor really care about FE, bt they do have SOME interesting points.

Seeking flat earth evidence? Ask rocket man "mad mike" oh wait... Maybe he saw the curvature of the earth then reeeeeed all the way back down. What about that red bull balloon skydive stuntman?

How can you seek something that doesn't exist

You can see the curvature of the earth from a commercial jet, or even from the top of a mountain...

I only saw it on one flight where the pilot said he was taking us to max altitude to avoid some turbulence. He said we were at 35k ft and I could see it just barely

That is not true at all. Even Scientists agree that you cannot see it from there, or where the redbull jump was done from. There is a you tube video of Neil Degrasse Tyson where he admits this.

I wonder if flat earthers think the moon or sun is flat. Or any other round thing in the sky for that matter.

Not that I believe in FE, I think it's a disinfo campaign which people have bought into, but I believe the premise is that everything else is round, but our planet is flat because it is the kingdom of God and ours is like no other etc etc and they want to cover that fact up so as to deny both our divine connection to and the reality of God.

No, that isn't what they believe. A lot of them are Christians yes, but they actually believe that the stars and sun and moon are just lights, of unknown origin but they don't believe they are balls of gas millions of miles away or further.

Get a flashlight, put a plate on the floor and turn off the lights. Now try to illuminate a semicircle on the plate. Can't do it? Flat Earth debunked.
