There was a Russian research paper that leaked out in the '70s I think, that showed oil is a renewable process.

I suspect that is true, control energy, control the masses. I bet it is artificially controlled similar to the diamond industry.

You are exactly correct.

Is the paper floating around or just rumours/descriptions of it?

I went down this rabbit hole 20 years ago and came to the conclusion that some oil we pump is abiotic, but most of what we’ve been pumping is organic. Meaning it’s both a fossil fuel and naturally occurring (deep inside crust/mantle) hydrocarbon. The qualities and characteristics of the crude are different.

Look at where most oil wells are, they are on the edge of the North American craton and on the edges of fault lines. Oil is made in the Planet, for what purpose? have not a clue.

There's limited evidence of oil on Mars and we know Titan is covered in hydrocarbons. There's clearly an abiotic possibility but for some reason it's sacrilege to suggest that.

Jerome Corsi wrote a book about this. Supposedly Texas A & M got all the papers from the Nazis about their synthetic oil production. They used diamond anvils and high pressure to turn their coal reserves into oil. Really interesting but of course the research was shelved.

All the coal in the world is about 300 million years old. New coal is not being made, it was a 1 time only gift.It has been theorized that there was a time when trees grew and died but fungi hadn't yet evolved to break down the wood so it piled up everywhere.

Is that how Titan got all its oil?

Well if your atmosphere is made of methane it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that longer carbon chain molecules exist.

So maybe... if we engineered a high methane environment we could renewably produce “new” oil and long chain HCs. If only there were absurdly large pockets of methane trapped in various places like permafrost and deep sea veins...

Yeah, but where did that methane come from?
