Isaac was spared whereas Jesus was not, that is what that was about.

Yes fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.

Why didn't God stop Eve from eating the apple? Why do we even have free will, we'd rather be robot zombies /s

I think you're misunderstanding the Isaac story, I think you misunderstand God's ways.

I think God didn't stop their deaths because we don't fear the one that can destroy our lives but rather the one than can destroy both body and soul in hell. Haters gonna hate.

YHWH gave Job his children forever, we believe death is not the end.

I think Job is with his children now.

God prevented it, (I know it says an angel of the Lord) it was a physical example, He never meant Isaac to actually die, please take a minute to try to understand how God would help us understand Him, He uses examples. https://www.gotquestions.org/Abraham-Isaac.html edit: Isaac did have a choice, he was fully informed and not a baby.

Ask Him. Also what does Job say about it maybe? Have you read the whole story?

Dying. Isaac was prepared to sacrifice himself at the hands of his father Abraham per God's order and God stopped them and it was understood that this was a foreshadowing of the sacrifice God Himself would make, He was using a physical illustration and the Hebrews understood.

Blood sacrificing children. The king there even killed his first born set to rule to appease chemosh, pretty sure, but it might not have been in that article.

If you'll remember right, the one true God spared Isaac, this was a foreshadowing of God's coming sacrifice in Jesus, the son who would die to save everyone.

Edit: evil is always conterfeiting.

I think they're looking for people. Plus crispr and junk.

▲ 1 ▼
Thisisnotanexit 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think they lie about a lot of things, that's why I only trust God.

I don't think we'll agree on the earth stuff that's why I'm trying to work around it (that's funny)

I think there are or at least were giants also but they aren't the Creator.

I think we can dialogue about origins even if our strong beliefs differ.

How so? What do these gods do? How do they think of children?

I have not doubted my allegiance, I'm grateful to have these conversations and I'm grateful to you for going on with me, cheers!

I accept your opinion and disagree with your assessment of things.

Who is better than the Most High God?

I think we can disagree on the shape of the plane in which we exist to get to greater truths of existence and I would like that.

There are many reasons to be cautious of the things around us and influences because we're not the only 'things' here.

Where/who do you think we come from?

▲ 2 ▼
Thisisnotanexit 2 points ago +2 / -0

I misspoke 'needing' instead of 'needed', that is funny, I'm leaving it. :o)

We don't have to go the bible yet but it does reflect my understanding so I will have to say I believe God when He says He formed the world in Genesis.

I think the earth is a globe and I think space exists. I don't believe the big bang as commonly defined and I think it bounces maybe. I also believe in physics and quantum mechanics, the tiny bits I'm able to process and understand, I'm not that smart..

I also think there (edit: are) multiple levels of dimension but I can't reach them all yet, this side of glory.

I'm looking up the breathing, I get nervous with new agey things.

I'm glad you joined in and hope we can keep sifting through what we can know and think together.

You are the one being small minded my friend, you want the world to fit your narrative and that's not how life works. Sorry, not sorry.

No.

Will you condemn me as evil if i say more than one syllable? (You misunderstand that verse then)

I think God was solidifying the choices Pharoah had all ready been making. (He also drove Nebuchadnezzar crazy and into the wild like an animal and Nebbie saw God's salvation, Praise Him. He has His ways and they're not ours, His thinking is higher than ours and we won't know everything, this side of glory.)

God has no alter and no equal.

When you say God shouted, do you mean when He said, where were you when I formed the earth?
If so, I think He was setting Job straight in his thinking. Job appreciated it too as do I when it happens.

You have things twisted, Lucifer doesn't love us, we are merely a bullets he uses to shoot at God, stop being ammunition and lay down your weapons.

When you say kill the firstborn do you mean Passover before the exodus? Just to keep track of timeline.

Deeds of devils vary from subtleto glaring but all of it comes from pride and lies and deceit.

Job knew his Maker (very well) and the devil tried to break their bond and failed.

You misunderstand God to prove your hatred and you are wrong. Keep reading..
Isaiah 45:8 “Heavens, sprinkle from above,
and let the skies shower righteousness.
Let the earth open up
so that salvation will sprout
and righteousness will spring up with it.
I, Yahweh, have created it.

9 “Woe to the one who argues with his Maker— one clay pot among many.[d]
Does clay say to the one forming it,
‘What are you making?’
Or does your work say,
‘He has no hands’?[e]. 10 How absurd is the one who says to his father, ‘What are you fathering?’
or to his mother,
‘What are you giving birth to?’”

Ezekiel 29:27 27 “Therefore, son of man, speak to the house of Israel, and tell them: This is what the Lord God says: In this way also your fathers blasphemed Me by committing treachery against Me: 28 When I brought them into the land that I swore[e] to give them and they saw any high hill or leafy tree, they offered their sacrifices and presented their offensive offerings there. They also sent up their pleasing aromas and poured out their drink offerings there. 29 So I asked them: What is this high place you are going to? And it is called High Place to this day.

30 “Therefore say to the house of Israel: This is what the Lord God says: Are you defiling yourselves the way your fathers did, and prostituting yourselves with their detestable things? 31 When you offer your gifts, making your children pass through the fire, you continue to defile yourselves with all your idols to this day. So should I be consulted by you, house of Israel? As I live”—this is the declaration of the Lord God—“I will not be consulted by you!

Israel is an example and they were meant to show the glory of God to the whole world in all times, He loves us all. You see their rebellion as you see the pagans also rebel. I have nothing to do with the devils that twist things in their tantrumming, then, now or any new time.

Why are you worshipping the creation and not the creator? Don't you see how fallen nature twists everything?! God is not malevolent, we are.

I have 2 categories because I think we have all have just one of two choices to make, be with God or be against Him.

Yes, this is how I lump things. Was Noah Israel? God chose Noah.. you miss the bigger picture of disregard for God in the story of Esau and Cain which I added for comparision.
