Let’s say a 70 year pattern, fastest mode of travel:

  • 1800: Horse*
  • 1870: Locomotive
  • 1940: Rocket
  • 2010: Still rocket …

WTF happened? I have my suspicions, but I need to shore up my information when discussing with sheep.

*I know steam engines were around, but not widespread.
