I have noticed extra masked up morons around me, but I also unfortunately live in a blue state. I think it's because of monkeypox. I ran into a leftist acquaintance last month who explained to me that she was masked up because she was scared of catching monkeypox. They still think a soiled piece of cloth will protect them.
I would, if I was confident that she would be receptive to hearing anything evidence-based and rational.
I just told her that I personally was not concerned at all and that was enough to stun her into silence.
