Because they know American conservatives are the easiest group of people to trick (evangelicals, qtards, Still Trumpers). They also happen to be the largest group of pro military Americans. So if the Russians can convince the pro military group to stand down, they have less to worry about in terms of support for Ukraine.

It's pretty smart to be honest. It's a shame American conservatives have a global reputation for being so gullible and easy to manipulate.

Of course not everyone will have seen it and totally abandoned their beliefs, but I do feel that if any Christians are looking for more answers, even if they hurt, it can absolutely provide context and give a deeper understanding of the origins of religion.
