What does a Jewish homeland look like? There are Jews living all over the world, within different cultures and different sects. Ashkenazi, Sephardis, Mizrahis and so on. What does Israel have to do with any of that?
I don't conflate Zionism with Judaism and I don't think nationalism and tribalism are especially useful solutions to complex issues.
Nah, it wasn’t originally. It was only after he modified it. I have no issue with criticism of Israel. I’m an anti-Zionist. But that’s not the Israeli flag, it’s just a red Star of David which says “Jews” to me and not “Israel.” It’s an important distinction.
I’m referring to the giant red Star of David that wasn’t originally superimposed over the Twin Towers when the banner first went up, but now it is. It’s racist and off-putting. It implies that this community collectively blames Jews for 9/11 and other evils of the world. If you employ imagery like that as the banner, you will attract an element that sees this community as a place to be as racist as possible. Though I give you a lot of shit, I don’t actually think that’s what you want.
Yeah, that’s about the extent of the insight you’re intellectually equipped to offer. It doesn’t bother you to run a racist forum? What happened to all that tacky kumbaya shit you were posting as you were getting kicked off Reddit?
I'm interested in talking about symbolism with people who know what they're talking about and have unique insight. You quite literally misinterpret and misunderstand every single thing you talk about, so it's not that fun for me.
Give me a break, dude. It’s not that deep. You run a forum full of Jew haters and that’s why it’s up there. I’m not saying you’re one of them, but it is what it is.
