The Deep State's Favorite Economist
First of all, climate lockdowns are not a new concept to many. You may recall an article written in September called Avoiding A Climate Lockdown (behind a free-subscription wall), written by Mariana Mazzucato.
For those who don't know (I didn't), Mariana Mazzucato is this man-lady: image1, image2. (She is also seen in this CNN interview wearing that circular rainbow lapel pin, which has been seen on other Deep State assets but I can't remember where or why.)
She's the Deep State's favorite economist, with a prolific selection of writings about "rethinking capitalism" and research funded almost exclusively by the Deep State (Ford Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, and Open Society Foundation). A cursory internet search of Ms. Mazzucato will reveal the typical connections to "build back better", Green (New) Deals, etc.
It's been said that the Cabal/Deep State/whoever will often tell us what they are about to do. When I saw an article this morning talking about the "record low emissions" the Earth is experiencing this year as a result of COVID lockdowns, I was reminded of Mazzucato's article and it became clear.
Mazzucato and others are laying the groundwork for future climate lockdowns. She explicitly states in her article ("hypothetically" of course):
Under a “climate lockdown,” governments would limit private-vehicle use, ban consumption of red meat, and impose extreme energy-saving measures
They will justify this by citing the very data that is being reported now: When people stop driving, when people stop eating so much red meat, when we are all locked down, emissions are reduced almost instantly. And this is, of course, a very good thing, they will say.
How will it be done?
By live monitoring of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, particularly methane. You all thought everyone cared about CO2, but studies have shown methane to have a warming power 80 times higher than CO2, and methane from human activities is causing at least one-quarter of the warming our planet is experiencing today (allegedly).
Watch how misleading doublespeak is used to frame this monitoring as a good thing, which I will emphasize with bold/italic combo text.
First, a quick primer. Deep State orgs The World Economic Forum and the Environmental Defense Fund have been hard at work funding new technology research to monitor methane emissions. The EDF has been clear about their intention:
We at EDF are calling for a 45% reduction in global oil and gas methane emissions by 2025. [...] Results on such a scale are conceivable thanks to growing digitization in the industry...
To help realize these prospects, EDF is working [...] to test continuous monitoring technologies...
Now we’re pushing the technological envelope even farther, by developing MethaneSAT – a satellite mission due to launch in 2021, and designed to continuously map and measure methane emissions with exacting precision almost anywhere on the planet...
Enter MethaneSAT
MethaneSAT will locate and measure methane emissions from oil and gas operations almost anywhere on Earth with precision and at a scale never before achieved...
MethaneSAT is, simply put, a satellite that monitors methane emissions on a global scale. There are some satellites in orbit that are already doing this, but MethaneSAT is a new beast all together that allows monitoring at levels 10 times more precise than current satellites (2 parts per billion vs. 12ppb) and uses new, state-of-the-art technology to report this data in a fraction of the time. MethaneSAT, LLC is a wholly-owned subsidiary under the EDF.
Quotes from their website (remember, watch for the doublespeak...):
MethaneSAT is designed to locate and measure methane from human sources worldwide, giving both companies and governments new ability to track, quantify, and reduce those emissions — and supplying the public with data to see that the job is being done.
By providing global emissions data on a regular basis [...] Companies and countries will have the data they need to take action and measure results.
MethaneSAT is also developing a sophisticated new platform to quickly process and transform the vast stream of data sent back by the satellite, automating complex analytics that currently take scientists weeks or months, creating a steady flow of information in a variety of packages and formats tailored to enable industry, regulators and the public to track emissions, and document reductions. [...] A continuous stream of fresh data [...] will enable governments and empower the public to see whether methane emissions are being managed effectively.
The government will have access to a "steady flow" of information, which will "enable" and "empower" the private and public sector to make changes to their methane production. This will all be voluntary, of course, and will not involve fines, penalties, sanctions, taxes, jail time, or any of that tomfoolery in order to force the bad actors to reduce their emissions.

The government will be able impose hyper-localized lockdowns, all in the name of reducing methane emissions:
- Too much cattle in this area? Slaughter 15% of your stock before you can re-open for business.
- Too many trucks over here? We're gonna need you all to stop driving around until we can replace those with more efficient cars.
- Too many people in this area? Time for police-enforced carpooling.
When might it happen?
As mentioned above: 2021 is when the satellite launches. First we have to get through "the second wave of COVID" to further build on the urgent need for a rethinking of our society, particularly around climate.
MethaneSAT was recently cleared to move into Production Phase (09/10/2020), "with a design that exceeds anticipated capabilities." (hooray!)
Once it's operational, I believe we will start to see graphs similar to the "COVID death count" graphs, which show national and global methane levels. That will inoculate us all with the dreadful "reality" that our planet is dying a horrible death by methane poisoning--and it's all our fault.
After that's been normalized, of course it makes sense the government should take action against certain businesses, or even citizens who aren't taking this seriously. I mean, don't they care? If they would just drive less, or carpool more, or have fewer cows, or close their business two days a week, or create less garbage waste, then we wouldn't have to lock down the whole country again... Just do what you're told, it's for everyone's benefit, stop being so selfish. Did you just fart, by the way?
