It’s because academia is an echo chamber, so among their peers they are considered amazing thinkers and are awarded prizes but since nothing is questioned, their arguments fail when they talk to people who have done real research and have critical thinking skills.
I remember having to read Noam Chomsky’s self important boring ass books in college, so glad I quit that and married a husband with a business to be a mom :)
I haven’t read John Titor’s predictions since like 2004 so I don’t remember much but one thing that I always remembered, because it made me laugh, is how he said Canadians were the most vicious and I think cannibals? Which I found ridiculous, they always say sorry, right?
But I was thinking about it lately and look at their lockdowns. If Canada continues with a stricter lock down I can sort of see it?
