Wanted to update this. Got my accommodation today with no further questions other than just the "what is your belief" yada yada. This is still listed as a "temporary" thing so we'll see how long they let me work lol.

Someone chosen to assist a mayor on creating Covid policy and "guide the public" doesnt even know basic facts about Covid. Either that dumb or feigning ignorance but i think its the former.

If you're not in the system by Oct 15th or in the process of claiming accommodation or getting shots, you cant come to work.

Did you mention the use of fetal cells in vaccines as part of your religious belief? Because I know thats been the popular Christian reason why.

This is the funniest thing because other coworkers of mine who are vaccinated laughed that this will happen like "oh you'll need proof of your 5th,6th,7th shot" yet they still willingly got their shots. Now they see me and a few others who aren't vax'd and how this could potentially ruin our lives and theyre like...yeaah im not in favor of forcing people like this. And im just like welp, too little too late morons.

So i just found out that nowhere in Bidens EO does he mandate federal contractors get shot...he directed his task force The Safer Federal Workforce task force to issue the guidance.

https://www.saferfederalworkforce.gov/downloads/Draft%20contractor%20guidance%20doc_20210922.pdf

Only after digging into their "guidance" do i find the "requirement" for contractors.

I work for one of the largest government contracted defense companies in the US and they finally released their Covid vaccine requirements yesterday.

What shocked me the most was the requirement for Remote Workers. I know of a few coworkers who have been remote workers for more than 5 years and do not interact physically with other employees...at all. Those people plus the additional 70% of our workforce who work from home since Covid, are now being forced to take the shot or submit an ACCOMMODATION...not "Exemption", which will have to be approved by higher ups.

I have no idea how they plan to prove ones religious accommodation, but i have a feeling they will not make this easy and possibly still give "accommodated" employees more hoops to jump through to even work.
