They have to be because they live in a country where you have to literally fight to survive.

not a cult, but just peaceful people who meditate and spread tolerance and love.

This has been said by every fringe group in history.

The CCP themselves say this nonsense.

Because everyone has their own self-interest in mind. The self interest of Falun Gong is removing the CCP (good for the world) to reform China as they want; NOT helping the U.S. If in some theoretical scenario something helped Falun Gong but hurt the US and Americans, they'd sell America out in a heartbeat - because they don't care about the US and its citizens - they care about China. We're just one of the ways they can spread their message.

Japan allied with the U.S. and Britain in WWI - but for their own reasons; they weren't friends to either just because they had common interests - as evidenced 30 years later.

Got to stop thinking just because someone has a common enemy that they're your friend.

I had a personal experience with one of the Shen Yun people. Was at a local Colombian restaurant and ordered some Empanadas from the lady, she went to the back to fry them; while waitingthis Chinese lady walks in maybe like 50 years old or so and shoves some Shen Yun posters at me and just grunted because she obviously couldn't speak English. They go around the cities into every business and ask owners to hang up their stupid posters for free and many do because "we should be nice". I told her I don't work in the restaurant, I'm just a customer and she has to speak to the owner. She didn't understand what I was saying, so I had to get louder and do a universal "no" with my hands. She gave me some fliers and then went up to the soda refrigerator and pointed at it and motioned whether she could have one. I said "NO lady, I don't work here - you can't just take a free soda!", then she left. When the server came back and I told her she said they've already come around numerous times trying to get her to hand up their posters for Shen Yun.

I know its Chinese. And I know they're anti-communist. That doesn't make them saints however.
