short tempers. stupid. slavish. ass kissing the rich/boss. making ugliness. weak men.

probably always been but seems worse lately.

IMO, they've always been this way. Maybe now we notice it more.

I have also stopped engaging with them as a rule, you can't make someone see if they don't want to. Cognitive dissonance exists without an outward sign.
