I've had people say "I don't really read the news, I know it's untrustworthy, I just skim the headlines"
I'm like, the BIGGEST lies are the headlines typically.
Skimming headlines is the absolute worst thing you could do. Relying on a single news source like Fox News but reading the articles would probably be better than sticking to 10 conservative leaning outlets and reading only the headlines.
The headlines are only about what thing. Getting clicks no matter the cost to integrity or morality.

However the headline seems to be accurate. The court filing claims that the bullet is not a match for the rifle. Specifically they are saying the ATF couldn't match the bullet to the rifle and they will use this as part of the defense.
