Jesus acknowledged that the Jews were the descendants of Abraham, but that they weren’t the “children of Abraham” or the “children of God” anymore, but the “children of the devil”. Since Abraham is not their father, but the devil is, the promises that God gave to Abraham of those blessing Abrahams children being blessed does not apply to the Jews. They rejected Christ and are the children of the devil and not Abraham.
In John 8:37 Jesus said “I know you are Abraham’s descendants”.
in vs. 38, “If you were Abraham’s children,” said Jesus, “then you would[c] do what Abraham did.”
In vs 42, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God.
In vs 44, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires.“
I don't see why anyone couldn't and I don't see how faith in the Most High God could be devilish..
There is no Greek or Jew in Christ, so it would be devilish to care about identifying as one ethnic identity over your current one. That leads to Extremism which you can see the Jewish “children of the devil” have today.
How many times do I have to tell you over and over and over and over that Jesus doesn’t care about ethnicity anymore.
But a Greek could be living in Greece as a member of Christ's Kingdom that is and is to come. Still Greek technically speaking.
Of course, but making a point to choose one ethnicity over another because of small amounts of Jewish dna is a fleshy desire and a devilish practice that leads to extremism.
This is also true in America. I'm American but my loyalties ultimately lie within God's law and Kingdom, tho I follow the rules where I am because He told me I should.
For clarity sake, is this about Israel now in time taking lands they claim for themselves and their loyalties being tied to a nation instead of to God?
If so, I would say there is actually a lot of that going on everywhere, I don't say that to make it seem ok, I say it because it is part of our present condition..
I pray for all hearts everywhere to deny themselves to find and follow Christ, allday.
