Life Energy is the most sought after energy in the deep state groups especially the Reptilian, certain insectoids, Annunaki and demon classes that cut off their inner connection from God turning them into pure parasites instead of creators.
Without Life Energy, which is God's energy that seeps through a badly connected inner system, is full of all that is good including joy, self worth, happiness, etc.. Humans gets a good amount but even our inner system is off center which is what causes Life Energy to only drip in instead of gushing in like waterfall. The dense human body is one reason for the block. The other reason is that our inner self, when focused on negativity, fear and other ungodly energies, misaligns with God's pipeline causing less Life Energy to come through. Nacissists are people who are so misaligned, they basically don't get much at all and so they become even more miserable. Little do they know, they put themselves in that situation when they decided to practice the evil art of bullying others on a daily basis.
A lot of the mysterious stuff like rituals, weird geometric shapes, fascination in numbers, etc.. are all part of the Life Energy extraction system. First they create so many stressors on humanity because stressed humans leak Life Energy which is then harvested through the 2nd dimension.
Then they make you forget about your connection to God so that your true inner emotion of pure gratitude for having God by your side. This creates insecurity and weakening of the soul too.
This setup has gone on for ages while they milk humans, children and animals for Life Energy but now, thanks to the natural evolution of the soul, the souls of many have evolved far enough to break through these systems that are mostly managed by the Rothschild and Rockafeller families along with the Vatican, ZOG and others.
There were tons of brave souls that infiltrated Earth by incarnating as Humans or even animals to spread their own light into this world from higher dimensions. There are even people who incarnated right into the Reptilian, Rothschild, etc.. families. They had to endure being undercover all this time so they can work from the inside.
Jesus explained that the energy of love was the cure for Life but now people are finally realizing it. Love is God's own energy and by expressing it, God enters into the scene as we stand as the conduits of God's love due to God's own rules.
Now the dark side is really in full panic mode as too much has worked against them in the past 10 years.

This is enough to alter your internal "antenna" into the right direction to draw in Salvation. This is what Jesus meant by I am the way. Jesus was orientated in the right direction to draw power and happiness from God directly.
Yes, all the awakened people are like refugees, or as you say "brave souls". More than that we are volunteers in an enemy territory. That's what Jesus was and is, he is not what the Church tells you. He was a messenger sent into hostile territory to plant a virus of truth into the matrix code. And you and I are the sleeper cells he left behind.
Jesus says "That which you have will save you if you bring it forth from yourselves." - Gospel of Thomas (not included in the Bible), that is the portion of God that resides within each human being (within yourself), the inner divine spark, and connect. He says inner transformation matters. The way to enter into that kingdom is to return to God, you're not obeying God. You are, as you correctly say, "connecting with God", just like Jesus did. You need to return to God. You need to repent and you need to completely commit yourself to God and you need to start loving your neighbor as yourself, helping those in need, taking care of the poor and the hungry, the homeless. Church's message: worship (accept) Jesus and obey us or be condemned to hell. Belief is everything. The church says he had to die. The death and resurrection is what matters. Religion is about control, about hierarchy, about obedience or authority rather than about direct spiritual experience.
Or perhaps Jesus meant what the Gnostics teach, "This way is the way of the Gnosis", a very ancient word from the Greek language. Remember Jesus also said, "I and the father are one," he was not claiming to be Yahweh. He was describing his consciousness in complete fusion with the Monad with the ultimate source beyond all creation. This distinction changes everything we thought we knew about Christian spirituality. Observe carefully how Jesus prayed. He did not plead. He did not beg. He did not ask for permission. He spoke as one who already possessed access to the infinite power: "Father, I thank you for having heard me. I knew that you always hear me.". Always. Not sometimes. This is because he was not communicating with a deity subject to moods and preferences, but with the immutable source, the Monad. Who does not judge, who does not decide who deserves to be heard. The Monad is pure consciousness.

Only within all can there be a separation between awaken and asleep. Few tempt many into a conflict of reason (awaken vs asleep) to distract each anointed one (Christ) from all (God).

Afterthought tempts life (en) to reflect (bend; turn) from that which works (ergy).
a) Forget (forward getting) tempts one to want to obtain by reaching forward, which inverts forgiveness (forward giving) aka God.
One needs to adapt to what all gives forwards, while resisting the want to get from one another.
