We all knew it back then...anyone with that kind of influence that doesn't bend the knee usually ends up like this...see Bob Marley.
Doesn't blindly bend the knee? The guy was in full support of LGBT and hated Christianity. When did he rebel against the industry?
He openly spoke up against record labels and there control over artists. Before his death he threatened to leave geffen records which was huge in the grunge scene.
He might be the first person killed for getting pissed off over a record deal then.
All I see is another self destructive God hater who died at 27.
If he took his ball and ran from the industry it would've been a huge blow for them.
He was at that point one of the most influential artist at the time if not the biggest.
