What segregation is there? Both cloud storage and personal storage run on SSDs, mainly for the durability. Cloud storage is just a huge rack of drives connected to the Internet for people to access through login credentials. I'm simplifying this heavily, but that's the basic principle.

It's the exact same technology, but people who don't have a clue make stupid comments.
