White people were happy to buy Black people and bring them to America for labor. They bought them from Jews and other Whites.
Brown skin is a great adaptation to dealing with sunlight btw. That's why many Europeans seek out darker skinned partners abroad.
I read that at the height of slavery, 2% of freed blacks owned slaves, 2% of Whites owned slaves, and ~30% of jews owned slaves. So the jews primarily sold slaves to other jews.
The thing is Jews are and were a small percentage of the total population.
And yet they owned 75% of the slaves, per The Secret Relationship Between Blacks And Jews vol. 1-3
