But I'm not him. And I also saw that comment as a clear advocacy for self defense and due process, from someone who would have a deeper knowledge of the United Kingdom, being a former citizen, than a DC parasite would.

You watch too many Hollywood movies. If someone pulls a bladed weapon on you, you don't try to disarm them, you kill them. You neutralize the threat. This is literally what police do, and it's because someone with a knife or other blade can attack you far quicker than you can react.
