It's also relevant that, on the "nurture" side of things, raising a chimp in a human household, with a human sibling, doesn't make the chimp smarter, it makes the human baby dumber.
The baby used in that 1950's experiment had REALLY lowset ears... I just saw the video, but can't remember where. I'll try to find it when I get time.
