"Around" implies confining self to circular thinking (logic) instead of thinking straight, while "us" implies a suggested pluralism tempting the consenting singular from discerning oneself within all perceivable.

to put mind control into music

What others put into music can only tempt ones mind to consent to outside control...it's ones free will of choice to give others control over ones mind by inviting music/muse into it.
