They wear a red string. The way more likely explanation here is red for Republican.

Maybe. She's a freemason too. But that's not a kabbalistic string. In my country there are people who wear a red string as an old-time superstition for good luck. Now that's definitely kabbalistic even though they don't know it. I make sure to tell people what the red string represents really.
