Its dry and hot this summer. Like I was saying before, its happened before, like during the dust bowl.

Nova scotia is losing their minds again though. They just banned any kind of hiking/camping/activities in the woods. You can still use your private property over of course, but better not have any friends over. They may fine you 25,000$ if you break this order.

It applies to Crown and private land. Private landowners are free to use their own properties but cannot host others to use wooded areas of their properties.

Like I get it, there were some bad fires here last year. One was started near the south side of the province and ate alot of forest, some retarded dumbass lit it intentionally, to be edgy i guess.

A Nova Scotia man has been charged for allegedly starting the eastern Canadian province’s largest-ever wildfire.

The charges against Dalton Clark Stewart, 22, come only days after a Quebec man, inspired by conspiracy theories, pleaded guilty to 14 charges of arson after deliberately lighting forest fires.

The main fire though, which wasnt as big size wise, but destroyed some rich people homes. The province paid for 25 trailers for these people, but the homeless cant even get proper shelters, its fucking wild. This one was started by a woman burning brush in her back yard, oddly enough, there was a roofer on reddit claiming he and the crew he was with saw it happen as they were working on someones roof nearby. Dude was stabbed and killed by a homeless person about a year later.

Clattenburg was a talented martial artist who witnessed the start of the Tantallon wildfire this past spring, when he was working as a roofer.

“That’s weird for him to be stabbed because he’s not that type of fellow,” said Francis Lafitte, his former employer at a roofing company.

The Tantallon wildfire in Nova Scotia, which occurred in May-June 2023, resulted in an estimated $165 million in insured damage, according to the Insurance Bureau of Canada. The fire caused the evacuation of over 16,000 residents and destroyed or damaged at least 200 properties, including 151 homes. The Halifax Regional Municipality also incurred approximately $11.7 million in direct costs related to the fire

So yeah I can understand they want to protect the rich peoples properties.

But you know, why not start with smoking bans, fire bans, etc.

Nope straight to authoritarian (WE DECLARE NO ONE CAN USE PUBLIC (well they call it the crown) LANDS.) Well except for corporations of course, you can get a permit to do "night" work. LMAO.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/hiking-ban-vehicles-wildfire-concerns-1.7019695

The Nova Scotia government has announced it's banning hiking, camping, fishing and use of vehicles such as ATVs in the woods due to an elevated wildfire risk.

Camping in campgrounds is still permitted, but trail systems through woods are off-limits under the new rules.

The rules are in place for provincial Crown land until Oct. 15 or until weather conditions allow them to be lifted.

The fine for violating the ban is $25,000.

The public can still access beaches and parks, except for trail systems.
