I just found out about this recently. Super upsetting.
Gum has been around for nearly a century.
Plastic water bottles and food containers though, all of which "recyclable" ...?
All of this plastic that is apparently recyclable (if only) is decomposing in landfills and leeching into the water supply, OR we are getting it from the bottles we use first run, or both.
To alternate implies adaptation by choice...not holding onto a choice within a conflict of reason (healthy vs ill).
