Interesting that there are no need for any chip implants for brain-computer interface.
Brain-computer interfaces are a thing even on DIY scene for quite a while. Basically it is just EEG electrodes and amplifier with ADCs whose data stream fed to GPU-based ANN trained to recognize brain signals from EEG as commands.
Funny hat and PC with a bit of hacking and no need for chip implant. Really could help impaired people to interact with the world, but I never saw any commercial commercial gadgets made like that.
So, help for impaired people is definitely not a goal for business with that "brain-computer interface" thing. Otherwise you would have been able to buy a funny hat that connects to your PC USB port and allow impaired people to do with PC everything we, normal people do with keyboard and mouse and even sligtly more.
