The wilderness and the dry land will be glad. The desert will rejoice and blossom like a rose. It will blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing. Lebanon’s glory will be given to it, the excellence of Carmel and Sharon. They will see the LORD’s glory, the excellence of our God.
Strengthen the weak hands, and make the feeble knees firm. Tell those who have a fearful heart, “Be strong! Don’t be afraid! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, God’s retribution. He will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. Then the lame man will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will sing; for waters will break out in the wilderness, and streams in the desert. The burning sand will become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water. Grass with reeds and rushes will be in the habitation of jackals, where they lay.
A highway will be there, a road, and it will be called “The Holy Way”. The unclean shall not pass over it, but it will be for those who walk in the Way. Wicked fools shall not go there. No lion will be there, nor will any ravenous animal go up on it. They will not be found there; but the redeemed will walk there. Then the LORD’s ransomed ones will return, and come with singing to Zion; and everlasting joy will be on their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.” (Isaiah 35:1-10 WEBPB)
And the chapter which precedes this one:
Judgment on the Goy
Isa 34:1 Come near, ye goy, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it. Isa 34:2 For the indignation of the LORD is upon all goy, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter. Isa 34:3 Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood. Isa 34:4 And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree. Isa 34:5 For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment. Isa 34:6 The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea. Isa 34:7 And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness. Isa 34:8 For it is the day of the LORD'S vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion. Isa 34:9 And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch. Isa 34:10 It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever. Isa 34:11 But the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness. Isa 34:12 They shall call the nobles thereof to the kingdom, but none shall be there, and all her princes shall be nothing. Isa 34:13 And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls. Isa 34:14 The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest. Isa 34:15 There shall the great owl make her nest, and lay, and hatch, and gather under her shadow: there shall the vultures also be gathered, every one with her mate. Isa 34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them. Isa 34:17 And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath divided it unto them by line: they shall possess it for ever, from generation to generation shall they dwell therein.
gôy – Pronunciation: go'-ee – Strong’s H1471 BLB (see also Bible Hub). Definition: The Hebrew word “goy” primarily refers to a nation or a group of people. In the Old Testament, it is often used to describe non-Israelite nations, commonly referred to as “Gentiles”. However, it can also refer to the nation of Israel itself, emphasizing the collective identity of a people group (e.g., Genesis 12:2; 17:4-6). The term underscores the idea of a distinct community bound by common cultural, ethnic, or political ties.
It only refers to Israelites on two single occasions.
And what does it refer to in the passage I quoted?
Or indeed in Isaiah 60?
The Future Glory of Israel Isa 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. Isa 60:2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. Isa 60:3 And the Goyim shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Isa 60:4 Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. Isa 60:5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Goy shall come unto thee. Isa 60:6 The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD. Isa 60:7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory. Isa 60:8 Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows? Isa 60:9 Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee. Isa 60:10 And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee. Isa 60:11 Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Goy, and that their kings may be brought. Isa 60:12 For the Goy and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those Goy shall be utterly wasted. Isa 60:13 The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious. Isa 60:14 The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel. Isa 60:15 Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations. Isa 60:16 Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Goy, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. Isa 60:17 For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness. Isa 60:18 Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise. Isa 60:19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. Isa 60:20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. Isa 60:21 Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified. Isa 60:22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.
What part would you like discussing? The whole thing is pretty heavy, end times stuff I think.
I’ll discuss any part of it with you if you like.
I don’t know why my post was downvoted but whatever.
I posted the preceding chapter as giving context to the chapter which makes up the one posted.
The biggest conspiracy that plagues us is ultimately the Abrahamic one but even supposed truth seekers defend it despite all the evidence.
I didn't downvote your comment. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by Abrahamic conspiracy if you would like to expand on that. I think the biggest conspiracy is the forces of evil using humans as ammunition against God.
Sorry, I wasn’t accusing you at all - just commenting on the fact.
So, the god of the Bible is YHWH, the Elohim of Israel. He never claims to be the god of any other people other than the Israelites and he acknowledges the existence of other gods. He even states that he is a jealous god and instructs the Israelites to have no other god before him.
He is openly hostile to us gentiles and many times commanded the Israelites to genocide gentiles or to kill the majority but to keep our virgin women as booty etc.
His promise to Israel is that they will have dominion over us gentiles, they will eat our riches, suck our milk, we will lick the dust of their feet, they will be our priests etc and that the goyim that does not serve Israel shall be utterly wasted.
The lord god of Israel hates our guts and the Bible doesn’t attempt in any way to conceal it. Christianity was created as a midrash of Old Testament prophecies for the express purpose of conquering Rome (and by extension the gentiles). This is what happened. Jewish missionaries subverted Rome to the Jewish sect called Christianity and the Roman Empire forced the conversion of gentiles (now termed ‘pagans’) at the point of a sword and through coercion and through missionary work. Our native temples were destroyed, our native religions were abolished, our native gods names were synonymised with demons and we were compelled one way or another to adopt the god of Israel as our own - despite what the Bible says about us. Same with Islam who also believe in YHWH as their own god.
Jesus hated us gentiles too and had only come for his own people. It was down to Paul the false apostle and the Pharisee to preach to us gentiles and theologically conquer us. And now, even today, masses of gentiles worship the god of Israel rather than their own Gods.
The fulfilment of biblical prophecy is nothing short of the complete obliteration of the gentiles and some people don’t or simply can’t view adherence to Jewish religion as the largest existential threat and the true source code and master plan of all the various subconspiracies in play today.
