Was reading the other day about a house fire in nova scotia where it claimed the life of 3 of the kids, one was on life support until they were ready for organ donation.
I already think its crazy that here in canada they dont leave you hooked up to the machines for a week, let alone a year anymore. Instead your declared "brain dead" and taken off life support. You think they would give people a few months to see if they wake up, but there must be some major $$$'s involved in this.
Mentioned before, nova scotia is the first "opt out" organ donation place in north america. Which is scary, I cant get medical help with the freon poisoning, cant get help with the kidney problems or parathyroid issues.
Like I would let this country harvest my tissues and organs after denying me medical care, but canadians do it every day. I find that kinda insane if im being honest.
They dont even have enough doctors to do anything, the few doctors that are here dont want to fuck with hundreds of pages of wcb paperwork especially for something as dumb as cardiac sensitizing from refrigerant but anyway.
