You could patent anything you want. No patent office in the world demand the thing described in patent application to be real. Only things that matters for patent - there is no patent on the described thing yet, properly done paperwork and paid fee. That's all.
Patent does not mean the thing would work as described or possible at all. It just mean that nobody filed patent with such thing earlier.

My bad for not being more specific but my point was there are tons of content creator's like him that do good work calling out bullshit on TikTok.

Obviously so named "closing inventions" is a greatest threat to corporations and elites. And the threat is not an invention itself, but possibility that everyone will be able to replicate it. As soon as inventor keep some secrets that not allow third-party replication, inventor is a primary threat source, because he could leak this important information to the public. If information is already leaked, inventor is not a threat anymore and elites have much greater problems already.
This pattern of "Inventor made a great invention, inventor kept it in secret in the hope to sell it or find investors and became new billionaire, Inventor died in accident" is either complete stupidity of inventor, either just another scam.
Oh it gets even more coincidental the further you go :)
