I agree I did learn a lot of how to be a good person from growing up as a Christian. They provided a moral compass. I've just taken it further and I'm still a good person but I don't have to capitalize the word he or believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to go to heaven.
I believe in a version of heaven you may not understand but after reading and listening to more than a hundred NDE books, and meditating, and helotropic breath sessions, I have put together my own belief of what makes more sense than Jesus Christ God Almighty and the holy Spirit.
You found those things to be the most excellent at explaining as best you can. I used to be in the same place. It doesn't mean you always have to stay there. If you ever feel that your faith doesn't fit your soul consider listening to your soul.
Remain open like you have been, Read more perspectives, And in the end write your own Bible, always keep editing it as you learn more.
I wish I grew up in a good Christian home, seems my whole family had some struggles with God and obedience, some have come around and some others are still on their way, I pray, but I say all that to say this, I searched for God on my own and even when I knew He was true, when He 'failed' me I turned away, for a long while, but He didn't stop being any more true and I finally figured that out in knowing Jesus Christ the person, not just the name. Praise God.
I wish you luck friend. You can keep telling me what you've figured out too though, if you'd like.
We are both confident in our faith. I'm aware my faith isnt written, but I also feel great about where I am. I'm grateful. Living in grace, amazed by the life we have, even if my perspective on this place is different.
My view of this world still works with the bible, actually, even better than the whole space thing. I don't see how people can believe in God and space at the same time. Seems like if He created the universe, that he did, and this world is it. There isn't room for stupid man made space stories of other solor systems.
But, if there is life beyond the 60th South parallel, where civilian can't go beyond, then that world is not explained in the bible. Making me skeptical of that book. Why not tell us?
And a world that is not a planet makes it easier to believe there is life under us. Kinda fits the whole demon theory in the Bible. But, it could also be explained by creatures we don't know yet. Maybe they are part of the cleaning crew. Who knows.
If your view doesn't include Jesus Christ being Lord I think you miss out on all the 'magic' you imagine being available to you.
I used to believe in jesus, until I realize that the bible, and christianity is one of the OG psy ops. Jesus, God, holy spirit are all perversions of our true connection to eachother, and where we are really from. I don't know, but it's not here.
