Why do you think the wayback internet archiver was hacked and DDOSed ...
They don't like when they scrub the internet only to have the wayback machine show the changes to articles, or when articles are redacted all together.

But that was followed up by repeated Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks that crippled the service.
