No one trying to fake this would do some stupid "ear wound" to sell it. If you get caught doing some WWE razor blade thing, fake blood, whatever, you torpedo all your support instantly. And there are hundreds of cameras around. Anyone who isn't literally retarded could see that this would have no part in any kind staged event. The risk to reward ratio is stupidly unfavorable.
