Exactly. Determinism destroys all truth and meaning because everything in existence becomes an effect of physics. Moreover I don't know what god does op talk about, but if it's the one true Christian God, then He made man in His image which includes reason and free will - the ability to choose the good and the truth (which is implied by the existence of morality).
