I dont know, the strongest piece of evidence of climate change imo, isnt the ice cores, it isnt the geological formations left over from even the last major change which would have been when the glaciers started to melt and break up over north america.

Its sediment cores. They have been doing this since the 1800's, which funny enough, reoccurring cataclysm theory was a popular thing back then, around the beginning of the 1900's seems to be taken out of the history books.
