The Texas Interconnection is an alternating current (AC) power grid that covers most of the state of Texas. It is a wide area synchronous grid managed by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). This grid is one of the three minor grids in the North American power transmission system, alongside the Quebec Interconnection and the Alaska Interconnection. The Texas Interconnection operates independently for political reasons, although it can access power from other grids through direct current (DC) ties. By remaining within state lines, this grid largely avoids federal regulation by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission."
Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT):
ㅤ ㅤ ㅤㅤ ㅤ ㅤㅤ ㅤ ㅤ"The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) oversees the flow of electric power within the Texas Interconnection, serving approximately 26 million customers in Texas, which represents about 90% of the state’s electric load. ERCOT is recognized as the first independent system operator (ISO) in the United States and one of nine ISOs in North America. It collaborates with entities like the Texas Reliability Entity (TRE) to enhance grid reliability and coordinates with regional entities under the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC)."
Production:
During peak periods, such as hot summer days when air conditioning demand is high, electricity demand in Texas reaches significant levels. For instance, on August 12, 2019, a peak demand of 74,820 MW was recorded in response to soaring temperatures. ERCOT manages over 78,000 MW of generating capacity to meet such demands. Notably, wind energy has played a substantial role in meeting electricity needs during low-demand periods; for example, on January 19, 2019, wind energy supplied over half of total demand at a specific time."
Wind Power in Texas:
ㅤ ㅤ ㅤㅤ ㅤ ㅤㅤ ㅤ ㅤ"Texas boasts a robust wind power sector with over 40 wind farms collectively generating more than 30,000 MW as of 2020. The state leads in wind power production within the U.S., with wind energy contributing significantly to its electricity generation mix. Factors such as favorable wind resources and supportive policies have propelled Texas to be a frontrunner in renewable energy adoption."
Solar Power in Texas:
ㅤ ㅤ ㅤㅤ ㅤ ㅤㅤ ㅤ ㅤ"In addition to wind power, solar energy holds promise for sustaining Texas as an energy-exporting state over the long term. Solar installations complement wind farms and contribute to diversifying the state’s energy portfolio. With ample sunlight available across many regions in Texas, solar power presents a viable avenue for further expanding renewable energy capacity."

It is about isolation.
Minimizing away from a fragile archaic grid in the East to a grid that is rapidly bcz stabilized is key to the digital token future
It's not stable though. Tens of millions of illegals running air conditioners and heaters have put the entire grid on blackout status.
The instability is due to Obama having several Texas plants shuttered in the name of climate change.
Had Obama not hobbled the Texas grid, which clearly was intentional act of destabilizing the state, Texas would be very stable.
