My family is from Slovakia which was occupied by both the Nazis and the Soviets. I can tell you right now the Nazis were much worse. My Zedo emigrated to the Ussr and killed Nazis as as Soviet soldier, then emigrated to the US and enlisted because he hadn't had his fill of Nazi killing yet. Ask anyone from Slovakia who was alive and they will tell you, no question, the Nazis were worse, which is saying a lot becase the Soviets sucked
