I used to like these guys back in the day, but their music went downhill after a while. Now I hear Justinsane has some rape accusations, the band broke up right after and he fled the US.
People seem to have difficulty separating the art from the artist. Not a defense of whatever the accusations are but I do believe people are innocent until proven guilty. He hasn't been charged with a crime. The guys a Dual Citizen of the US and Ireland which does have an extradition treaty with the US. We live in a time when words are cheap and accusations can destroy without evidence I'm not jumping on some cancel bandwagon without proof.
Oh yeah, allegations are just that. But your band breaking up, leaving the country, selling your home, and clearing all your bank accounts is pretty sus.
And no, I don't disassociate the art from the artist. By continuing to support an artist that I disagree with on certain basic fundamental things, I am supporting that artist do those things. Kind of like how I stopped listening to Lost Prophets after the dude was caught raping kids.
As I said the guy was Dual Citizen of the US and Ireland and if he was charged with a crime in the US he could be extradited from Ireland. Is it suspicious that he left the US when you can be destroyed by allegations? Suspicious yes a crime no. You are comparing him to some who in your own words was "caught raping kids" that's a disingenuous comparison he was caught committing an actual crime, being accused of a crime is not a crime no matter how much the Main Stream Media wants people to believe it is.
I stopped following them years ago when they went full blown lefty retard, not because of the allegations. I wasn't comparing them to Lost Prophets, just saying that separating the artist from the art is a retarded take on stuff.
