I was hoping the author would elaborate a bit beyond the examples, but maybe it's not necessary. I've experienced some of those myself. I can't find anything useful in web searches anymore. Google doesn't give you what you're looking for - it gives you what they want you to see. It used to feel precise, like you were in control of a powerful machine and your commands were absolute. Now it returns 95% garbage no matter how you type it in.
