For a start many are Christians. Second they all speak Arabic but they are a mix of the original inhabitants and Arabs. Many later converted to Islam and spoke Arabic. The Palestinians are a mix of the original inhabitants and surrounding regions just like any other place.
And BTW there is nothing special in people moving around, intermarrying, converting religions, etc... What makes this story special is that Khazars decided to steal it according to their cult text books and brainwashed gullible Americans into buying into the chosen people myth.

The purpose of saying there were Christians in Palestine is to demonstrate they are from the same people who were from the Byzantines.
The number of Christians recently in Palestine are less to their original number due to multiple factors.
1-Conversion over time. Muslims majority, slowly they converted.
2-Christians recently (around 1800-1948) had more money and education due to missionaries, once that happens you start having less children.
3-Find it more easy to immigrate.
The same process went in Lebanon and Syria. If you are not an Israel you are just uneducated.
