Numbers on a computer is not the same as digital currency
Digital currency is traceable through its lifetime, can be revoked at any time, every transaction goes through the gatekeeper (e.g. govt.) and therefore approved / rejected - meaning the govt. could pricefix everything.
e.g.
Here's your digital UBI, you can only spend it with approved partners, it expires in 30 days.

This is true. As I was oversimplifying how fiat is used and controls the populace, and using the term 'digital' at face value. But the person I was talking to, doesn't know the difference between BTC and CBDC. And I've spent years getting into the nuance with him, and getting nowhere.
