you think women are going to flock to the trades and building things with their hands? how many women are currently employed in jobs that actually make tangible, physical things?
if AI wiped out digital recording and accumulation of money, people would say "fuck computers, then", and society would go back to what it was before the invention of the IC chip. there's a whole bunch of pre-IC tech that would become in vogue again, and very few of those fields had significant numbers of women involved in the actual invention, creation, and manufacture of that tech. indeed, quite a few factories employed women, but how many of today's women do you see having the fortitude to choose factory work to maintain their economic independence?
