A lot of people aren't factoring in that truckers can work 60 hours a week and are exempted from overtime pay and a lot of companies paying the big bucks in trucking are paying that much because they are maximizing the hours to minimize driver count (health insurance, benefits costs don't scale by hour).

I see this type of video every day on Chinese social media, as well as on Instagram and Twitter.

Chinese men often show sweetness towards their women. They have to, because Chinese women benefit from the gender imbalance. They have access to a high-quality global dating pool, and, as only children, they are quite likely to inherit multiple houses from their parents and grandparents, each worth around a million dollars if they live in tier 1 cities, and thus, can easily afford to refuse marriage and live the life of a sugar mommy.

Many Chinese men also harbor resentment towards Chinese women due to their disproportionate privilege in dating.

It’s totally about personal satisfaction. We need to “scratch an itch.” The thrill we get from “getting away with it,” is also a big part of the equation.

Many stories are embellished, along the way, by people involved in the oral tradition. Some, become almost unrecognizable, after a few generations. These folks often do it, to “add spice,” for entertainment value.

I’ve come to learn that most folks that “front,” are often doing so, in order to personally feel better; not harm others. It’s not healthy, but often, doesn’t result in much harm to anyone else. I’ve learned to relax, when I encounter it, and sometimes, even enjoy it.

Very many folks have terrible self-esteem, and develop coping mechanisms, which can sometimes be quite destructive, but, more often, are just energy sinks.

I have learned to be cautious, though, and not take things at face value, which can be difficult, if I don’t want to become a bitter cynic.
