There are about 100,000 Jews who were in camps, ghettos and in hiding under Nazi occupation who are still alive today, according to the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, one of the few international organizations that tracks that type of data. The group, which negotiates with Germany’s government for payments to Holocaust victims and provides social services for survivors, said there were about 500,000 living survivors, including those who fled Nazi Germany, in 2014.
You think this clears things up? Maybe it's you who is "illiterate" (despite us both communicating through writing ;-)
So which is it? 100k, 500k or 245K Jewish survivors? What defines a "Jewish Holocaust survivor"? A Jew who was imprisoned/in hiding but survived? Or has that category expanded to include people who fled the country and were never imprisoned? Or maybe even those who left in the 1930's? Or the children (of survivors) who were never even in Nazi Germany? Does the 500k from the 2016 article include the many non Jewish prisoners of the camps?
The Times article very clearly says that 100000 survived camps, ghettos and hiding in Nazi controlled areas while the total number of survivors including those who fled Germany was 500000 in 2014.
Years later, that number is obviously lower, as per the second article.
What the fuck is so hard to understand there. You are the one claiming that the Times article says only 100000 lived in 2014 and that it would mean an increase in 2024 when taking the number from the second article.
The Times article very clearly contradicts your claim. All you did was quote the headline, pretend that this was the total number and compare that with the 2024 article.
So, how about you explain why you did that? Why did you pretend that the total number of survivors stated by the Times article when in fact, the article states 500000?
You are either a fucking deceitful liar or are fucking illiterate. Which is it?

The initial figures were inaccurate because they keep finding more jews behind the walls and in the sewers.

The number of "Jewish survivors" is higher in the second article than the first.
Liar.
