Pauly Shore's career took a massive nosedive. He's bitter as fuck. There might be some truth said in jest, if you know what I mean. He might as well be doing this for the good graces he thinks it will entail as well. Or he sees an opportunity. Or he's just a loser. Point is, it does muddy the waters on purpose, as you say.
