one of Paul's lectures or interviews, he talks about how he has to be careful about what he says about the mushroom that gets sold the most in produce sections, put on pizza, used in sub sandwiches, etc. iirc, he got in some sort of trouble for pointing out the raw form of that mushroom increases some types of cancer risk.

there's Stamet lectures all over youtube that are often given in front of smaller audiesnces, and he'll be a little more uncensored in the Q&A at the end of the talk. gather the ones you can, and you can piece together what he dances around. most people are attracted to him b/c of his work with/knowledge of psychedelics, but when he DD's into mychorizal stuff and how mushrooms/fungi interact in the forest/soil is where you can see what his passion is.
