I don't think it was nukes that got the attention of the Elohim.

During the late 1930s, the Nazi government managed to lead an extensive expedition into Antarctica. Why? and did the Nazis find alien technology in Antarctica? or met actual aliens there?

I think it could have been earlier

I'm thinking of the Aurora crash, the event took place in April 1897.
