As much as I like this site, it can sometimes feel like an echo chamber, so I decided to make another reddit account and do like Jesus did, spend some time with the sinners and try to convert them.
I didn't even post anything particularly spicy, mostly just fluff and then the occasional questioning the narrative. After a day or two, I started getting suspicious because after the first few posts, I received no feedback at all. Not a single comment, and no up- or downvotes either. So I decided to pull up my profile page in a private browser window (without logging in) and whaddayaknow, it said "account has been suspended". Except it still lets me log in and continue to post (albeit only once every 10 minutes or so).
Has this happened to anybody else? This is already the second account I lost this way, I'm starting to think this is now the default.
Yes but did they shadowban you or just outright suspend your account?
Also, is it just me or did reddit use to be more active in the past than it is now? Most subs are literal ghost towns, just a handful of people all agreeing with each other, and nobody is saying anything even remotely controversial. It's like a Potemkin village, totally boring and completely fake.
They'd shadowban post comments all the time. There's an entire sub that will check if you're shadowbanned and give a report. "Of your last 100 post comments, 98 of them were shadowbanned."
But I got banned from posting on several subs merely for commenting on r/theDonald. And r/science blocked me for linking a climate change image from Wikipedia. News and Worldnews would ban commenting if you didn't love the left. r/Conspiracies banned me twice after axolotl was de-modded. I was talking maybe about Christchurch.
There's a joke that everyone on reddit is a bot except you. I don't care if that place is popular or not. It's not for me, they made that very clear.
I just went over the comment history of my most recent account again, and out of roughly 20 comments there were only two that had negative karma (albeit both in the double digits). And they weren't even particularly spicy and clearly tongue-in-cheek if you have even the slightest bit of humor.
This is what it must have felt like living under communism — if you utter even a single criticism of TPBP, you're immediately disappeared by the StaSi. Honestly though, fuck the lot of them, I got a VPN subscription and nothing but time on my hands, I can keep making accounts faster than they can ban me. If I can redpill even a single person on there it'll be worth it.
Eventually they're going to de-anonymize our speech and try to punish us for it. They want to be reminded what dem muskets do. They need an excuse to release their less-lethal Riot Drones.
Solar-powered Starlink-GPS rogue AI facial recognition gait recognition microwave-gun drones. Fry your brain with an invisible beam. Never stop patrolling. Run and hide for a thousand years until a volcano blots out the sun. Papers please, enslaved earthling.
