All I know is when I tried to register here, the registration form is using Jewgle Captcha which is practically impossible to complete if you are using any kind of anonymizer like a VPN.
To me that says whoever is running the site either has no understanding of internet privacy, or they know exactly what they are doing and have a very keen interest in knowing our real IP addresses so they can ID everyone registering here. The exact same thing is true of Reddit, virtually impossible to get an anonymous account there either.
Any site like this that was actually legit and concerned about freedom should be trying as hard as possible to protect user privacy and this site is not doing it. So who is running this place anyway? I guess I'll find out after they instaban my account after I post this.
Right, one of its functions is to prevent bots. But there's also 150 other solutions and options for captcha's that don't block VPNs, don't involve Jewgle, and don't try to collect your personal information. And most importantly, the capcha they are using makes it extremely difficult if not impossible for anonymous users to register for this site. Call it a coincidence but I don't think it is.
